Test Terminals

Test probes are attached to electrical circuits, panelboards, electronic circuits, etc., to test electrical power and signal. Generally, a socket is grounded on the device side for connecting the test cable, and the plug end of the cable is then inserted into the socket for testing. When there are no sockets available, testing can be performed by clipping the probe directly onto the wiring. The clips usually feature a vinyl insulation cover over which the user can hold the clip when attaching the probe onto the wiring. The metal parts of these clips are completely wrapped for applications that require good insulation properties. Also, with miniscule circuits, a stick-shaped probe with a tapered end and connected to an oscilloscope, etc., is used to touch and test the circuit.
