Part Number

Configured Part Number is shown.

Product Overview
The 882TAB turning chain plate is an integrated turning conveyor chain plate with a pitch of 38.1 mm, specifically designed for horizontal turns, positioning conveyance, and preventing material from slipping sideways. It enables smooth turning conveyance and is widely used in turning conveyor lines for beverages, bottled and canned goods, food packaging, cartons, boxes, and other materials. It is a commonly used model for turning sections in automated packaging and sorting lines.

Note 1: The actual product length (number of pieces) is an integer multiple of the pitch. Any remainder will be rounded.
Example 1: For an order length of 2000 mm and a pitch of 38.1 mm, the actual number of pieces is 2000/38.1 ≈ 53 pieces, and the actual length is 2019.3 mm.
Example 2: For an order length of 5000 mm and a pitch of 38.1 mm, the actual number of pieces is 5000/38.1 ≈ 131 pieces, and the actual length is 4991.1 mm.

Frequently asked question (FAQ)

Question: When the conveyor runs through the curved section, the chain plate often experiences severe shaking, skips teeth, or even comes off the track entirely. What could be the cause?
Answer: The most common cause is severe wear of the TAB guide (hook foot) or the track. The 882TAB uses the hook foot at the bottom to latch onto the track and counteract the centrifugal force during turns. If the inner side of the track becomes wider due to wear or the hook foot breaks, the chain plate will not be able to lock in place. In addition, excessive tension can also cause the chain plate to lift up at the curves. It is recommended to check the clearance of the curved track and ensure that the return section of the chain has an appropriate sag.
Question: The newly replaced chain plate shows obvious wear marks on the surface and bottom after only a short time, and there is a lot of black debris accumulating on the track. Is this normal?
Answer: This is usually caused by insufficient lubrication or material residue. The 882TAB is made of POM (polyoxymethylene). Although it is self-lubricating, a water-based lubricant is still required under high load or high speed conditions. The black powder is abrasive produced by dry friction. In addition, if broken glass or metal dust falls into the conveying environment, it will accelerate wear like sandpaper. It is recommended to add a lubrication system or regularly clean foreign objects from the track.
Question: The chain plate does not move straight along the straight section, swaying from side to side like a snake. After some time, the chain is noticeably elongated and can no longer align with the sprocket. Why is this happening?
Answer: This is mainly caused by the drive shaft and driven shaft of the motor not being parallel, or by excessively high ambient temperatures. If the axes at both ends are not level, the chain plate will be subjected to uneven force and run off track. The 882TAB, as a plastic chain plate, is relatively sensitive to temperature. If the conveyed material is too hot or the ambient temperature exceeds 80℃, the chain plate will undergo thermoplastic stretching. It is recommended to recalibrate the parallelism of the shaft lines and ensure that the working environment temperature is within the material's tolerance range.
