Usage Example

Usage Example 1: Positioning of Molds, Jigs, etc.

By using the PVL-S for positioning heavy objects or molds, you can easily move the workpiece by floating the planeveyor with the power of air.

Advantages of Improving the Work Environment with Planeveyor Lifters

Transporting heavy objects such as molds is not only dangerous but also requires a great deal of effort.
By installing the planeveyor lifter under heavy objects and switching the air ON/OFF, the objects can be raised or lowered, allowing for accurate positioning and transport operations in a short time with fewer people.
Compared to hydraulic lifters, no specialized knowledge, equipment, or piping work is required, allowing for safe operation.
The planeveyor lifter streamlines logistics and transport, reduces labor, improves safety across various industries, and even achieves overall cost reduction.
With simple installation work, mold replacement and mold set up can be performed quickly and safely.

What is an Air-Driven Planeveyor Lifter?

This is a labor-saving device that is mainly inserted into the bolster groove of a press machine, uses the power of air to lift the planeveyor, and pushes the mold up from the bolster, making it possible to perform mold positioning with minimal force (starting frictional resistance of 3/100 or less).
After positioning, turning off the air allows the planeveyor to flush under the weight of the die, seating it on the bolster.

By using the air-driven planeveyor lifter, mold changes that previously took a significant amount of time can now be performed smoothly. It can be easily integrated with hydraulic clamp units and telescopic slide rails, and compared to conventional hydraulic rollers, it offers greater flexibility in moving molds and is more resistant to damage. The main body is available in square groove and T groove types, and dimensional modifications are also possible.

Recommended Circuit Diagram

Workpieces are lifted using air pressure and lowered using their own weight.
The air in the cylinder must therefore be released when lowering, so please use a three-way valve.
If you need to force the cylinder to lower, please use a vacuum generator as shown in the diagram at the lower right.

Planeveyor Selection Method

For the PVL-S series straight type, please select a planeveyor lifter based on the following guideline:
"workpiece weight ≤ lifting capacity of one piston x number of planeveyors under the bottom of the workpiece".

*The lifting capacity is a measured value.

Customer Feedback

After installing the PVL-S on the pressed machine, the die replacement time was reduced, and it was especially effective for machines with frequent setup changes.

Behind the Scenes

The PVL series is the only product in the industry that can be used for both upward and downward applications. The original spherical structure allows heavy workpieces to be moved more easily.
