When using LM guides in opposition, conventional methods required significant time for table processing, made it difficult to achieve high accuracy, and posed challenges for clearance adjustment. With the HSR-YR type, mounting taps are provided on the sides of the block, simplifying the structure and enabling significant reductions in labor-hours as well as improvements in accuracy.

Note: This nominal model number is for 1 set per single-axis unit. (For parallel use with two axes, a min. of 2 sets is required.)
When equipped with the QZ lubrication unit, a grease fitting is not included. If you would like a grease fitting included with the QZ specification, please contact THK.
(1) When transporting products weighing 20 kg or more, please use at least two people or transport equipment. It may cause injury or damage.
(2) Do not disassemble each part. It may cause loss of function.
(3) Note that, when an LM block or LM rail is tilted, it may be fallen out by its own weight.
(4) Do not drop or hit the LM guide. It may cause injury or damage. In addition, please note that when shock was applied, the product may lose its function even though there is no visible damage to the external appearance.
(5) When assembling, please make sure not to remove the LM block from the LM rail.
(6) Be careful not to put your hand into the mounting hole of the LM rail, as your hand may get caught between the LM block and the rail, which could cause injury.
(7) When handling the product, wear protective gloves, safety shoes and the like as necessary to ensure safety.
(1) Be careful to prevent the entry of contaminants such as cutting chips or coolant. Otherwise, it may cause damage.
(2) If the product is used in environments where cutting chip, coolant, corrosive solvents, water, etc. may enter the interior of the product, avoid the ingress of such substances by using bellows, covers, or similar protective measures.
(3) Avoid continuous use at temperatures above 80°C. Except for heat resistant specifications, if this temperature is exceeded, resin and rubber parts may be deformed or damaged.
(4) If cutting chips or other contaminants adhere to the product, please clean it and then reapply lubricant.
(5) In cases of very small strokes, it is difficult for an oil film to form on the contact surfaces between the rolling element and the rolling surface, which may cause fretting. Therefore, please use grease with excellent fretting resistance. In addition, we recommend periodically moving the stroke by approximately the length of the LM block to form an oil film on the rolling surfaces and rolling elements.
(6) Do not forcibly drive positioning components (pins, keys, etc.) into the product. This may cause indentations on the rolling surfaces and result in loss of function.
(7) If it is absolutely necessary to remove and reinsert the LM block from the LM rail during work, please use a dedicated insertion/removal jig. (The insertion/removal jig is not included as standard, so please contact THK if you need to use one.)
(8) When using the insertion/removal jig, make sure the end face of the LM rail and the end face of the jig are in close contact, and insert with the LM rail and the jig kept parallel.
(9) If you insert the LM block at an angle, there is a risk of contaminant ingress, damage to internal components, and the rolling elements falling out.
(10) If the LM block is inserted onto the LM rail and used while the rolling elements are missing, it may cause premature failure.
(11) If the rolling elements fall out of the LM block, do not use it as is. Please contact THK.
(12) If the LM guide is damaged due to an accident or other reasons, the LM block may come off the LM rail and fall. To ensure safe use, please take measures such as adding a fall prevention mechanism.
(13) If the rigidity and accuracy of the mounting components are insufficient, the load on the bearing will be locally concentrated, significantly reducing bearing performance. Therefore, please thoroughly consider the rigidity and accuracy of the housing and base, as well as the strength of the fixing bolts.
(14) If you need to remove the LM block from the LM rail and reassemble it, there are LM block removal/insertion jigs available to make assembly easier. Please contact THK for more information.
(1) Wipe off the anti-rust oil thoroughly and apply lubrication before use.
(2) Avoid mixing different lubricants. Even if the thickener is the same type of grease, differences in additives and other components may have adverse effects on each other.
(3) If the product is used in locations subject to constant vibration, clean rooms, vacuum environments, or other special conditions such as low or high temperatures, please use grease suitable for the specifications and environment.
(4) When lubricating products that do not have a grease fitting or oil hole, apply lubricant directly to the rolling surface and perform several break-in strokes to ensure grease enters the interior.
(5) The consistency of the grease changes depending on the temperature. Please note that changes in consistency will also affect the sliding resistance of the LM guide.
(6) After lubrication, the sliding resistance of the LM guide may increase due to the mixing resistance of the grease. Be sure to perform a break-in operation and allow the grease to fully blend in before operating the machine.
(7) After lubrication, excess grease may scatter around the area, so please wipe it off as needed before use.
(8) Grease deteriorates over time and its lubrication performance decreases, so it is necessary to inspect and replenish the grease according to the frequency of use.
(9) The lubrication interval will vary depending on the usage conditions and operating environment, but as a reference, please lubricate every 100 km of travel (every 3 to 6 months). Please determine the final lubrication interval and amount based on actual machine operation.
(10) If the mounting orientation is not horizontal, the lubricant may have difficulty reaching the rolling surfaces. For mounting orientation, please refer to B1-28, and for lubrication, please refer to B24-2.
(11) When using oil lubrication, depending on the mounting orientation of the LM block, the lubricating oil may not reach all areas. Please contact THK in advance.
Please store the LM guide indoors in its original manufacturer packaging and shipping configuration, avoiding high temperatures, low temperatures, and high humidity, and keeping it in a horizontal position.
For products stored for a long period, the internal lubricant may have deteriorated over time, so please replenish the lubricant before use.
Please dispose of the product appropriately as industrial waste.
