Static electricity measurement test
* Compared to conventional products, static electricity is reduced to 1/50, allowing you to work with peace of mind.
Test conditions: Using a vacuum transporter, transport of polyurethane pellets (20 seconds), discharge (10 seconds), and stop (10 seconds) are repeated for 30 minutes. The static electricity charged in the hose during transport and when it was stopped was measured using a static sensor.

Cautions/prohibitions
Precautions Before and During Use of Hose
1. Use within the operating temperature and pressure ranges. * Do not use TOYOFUSSO hoses, TOYOFUSSO-E hoses, or TOYOFUSSO SOFT hoses
for negative pressure applications. It may deform and become unusable.
2. The hose expands and contracts due to internal pressure, so please allow some leeway when piping.
3. When pressurizing, open and close the valve slowly to avoid impact pressure.
4. The innermost layer is made of fluoropolymer, so it is resistant to most chemicals and solvents, but whether or not it can be used depends on the conditions. Please be sure to check it under the actual usage conditions. (For chemical resistance data, please check the Toyox website or contact the Toyox customer service center.)
5. Use a hose ideal for the fluid to be used. Do not use it for any other purpose.
6. TOYOFUSSO hoses, TOYOFUSSO-E hoses, TOYOFUSSO-S hoses, and TOYOFUSSO SOFT hoses use fluoropolymer in the innermost layer and are resistant to fuel oils such as gasoline and solvents such as toluene. Do not use them for fuel piping.
7. When using flammable fluids, the manufacture recommends wrapping a metal wire around the hose (grounding) to reduce static electricity.
In addition, the TOYOFUSSO-E hose has an anti-static belt, so be sure to ground or bond the fitting.
8. The anti-static belt of TOYOFUSSO-E hose is intended for anti-static purposes and cannot be used for electrical connection such as
grounding wire, bonding wire, etc. Also, there is no function to remove static electricity from the fluid used. Take separate measures to eliminate static electricity from the fluid.
The manufacturer is not responsible for any personal or property damage that occurs before or after the hose ends.
9. TOYOFUSSO-E hose does not guarantee prevention of accidents.
The user is responsible for safety management such as limiting the flow rate of low-conductive liquids and flammable liquids and reducing spray concentration.
10. Standards of the Fire Service Act in Japan may apply depending on the usage status, so please check with your local fire department for details.
11. TOYOFUSSO hoses, TOYOFUSSO-E hoses, TOYOFUSSO-S hoses, and TOYOFUSSO SOFT hoses have a laminated structure, so even if the inner layer is resistant to fluid,
due to usage conditions (high noise, high pressure, etc.), fluid may permeate the inner layer, causing the intermediate and outer layers to deteriorate and swell. In addition, depending on the characteristics and conditions of the fluid, the inner layer may wear, peel off, or melt, etc., so please check thoroughly before use.
12. Wash the inside of the hose before using it for drinking water or food. (Wash with hot water (80°C or less) up to 30 minutes, pressure 0.1 MPa or less.)
13. Use the hose with a minimum bending radius or more. If used below the minimum bending radius, the hose may bend, or the pressure resistance may decrease.
14. When used with powders, granules, etc., the hose may wear out easily depending on the conditions, so please make the bend radius as large as possible.
Also, please note that, in the case of the TOYOFUSSO-E hose, the black band on the anti-static band may be scraped off and mixed with the fluid.
15. Do not use the product in a state of extreme bending near the fitting.
16. Do not touch or bring close to naked flames.
17. Do not run over the hose with vehicles, etc.
18. Do not use the hose when it is crushed.
19. Do not hit the hose with hard, sharp objects such as steel or rub it strongly.
20. Do not energize. Hose rupture or electric shock may occur.
21. Do not allow fluids (food, etc.) to come into contact with anything other than the inner surfaces of hoses and fittings. Fluid may permeate the hose reinforcement layer or remain in the fitting, causing the growth (adherence) of bacteria and deterioration of the hose. Also, dust adhering to the outer surface, fragments of hose (reinforcing material), and printing ink may get mixed in.
Cautions/prohibitions
1. When cutting a hose, use a new cutter blade as much as possible. (Reinforcing thread may protrude from the surface.)
2. When cutting the hose, cut so that the surface of the hose is perpendicular. If it is not vertical, leakage or disconnection, etc., may occur.
3. When cutting the TOYOFUSSO-S hose, be careful as there is a risk of injury from the end of the reinforcing material.
Cautions/prohibitions
1. For the TOYOFUSSO hoses, TOYOFUSSO-E hoses, TOYOFUSSO-S hoses, and TOYOFUSSO SOFT hoses, using Toyox dedicated fittings,
TOYOCONNECTOR, or dedicated TOYOFUSSO hose fittings made by Toyox is recommended. If you use a fitting other than the dedicated one or install it in a way that is different from the instruction manual, the performance of the hose may deteriorate.
2. After installing the fitting, the permanent deformation of the resin may cause fluid leakage, fitting disconnection, or hose rupture,
please contact the manufacturer for the characteristics of fitting types and hose materials.
3. The pressure resistance strength described in this catalog is based on the data obtained by performing a pressure test on a single hose using Toyox's original test method.
Therefore, customers should be aware that problems such as hose disconnections may occur before hose bursts depending on the setting conditions of the metal fittings (the shape of the hose nipple, the type of hose clamps, the number of hose clamps, tightening torque, crimping shape, etc.).
When attaching fittings to hoses, please select a safe and effective method of attaching fittings.

4. When attaching the TOYOX dedicated fitting TOYOCONNECTOR to the hose, tighten until there is no gap between the nipple and cap nut.
If there is a gap between the nipple and the cap nut, the cap nut will act as an insulated conductor, accumulating static electricity, which may cause electric discharge or fire.
5. When fastening the TOYOFUSSO-E hose with a hose clamp, be sure to ground or bond the clamp.
If it is not grounded, the hose clamp becomes an insulated conductor and accumulates static electricity, which may cause electric discharge or fire.
Cautions/prohibitions
1. Pre-operation inspection: Before using the hose, check for any abnormality on the external appearance (damage, hardening, softening, discoloration, etc.).
2. Regular inspection: Be sure to perform regular inspections once a month while the hose is in use.
If such abnormalities are observed
Hose lifespan is greatly affected by fluid physical properties, temperature, flow velocity, and the frequency of pressurization and depressurization. If any of the following abnormalities or signs are found during the pre-operation inspection or regular inspection, immediately stop using the hose and replace it with a new hose.
1. Abnormalities near fittings: Local stretch, curvature, leakage, blistering, and shallow insertion into the nipple.
2. Presence or absence of damage: Large scratches on the outer surface, cracks, infiltration into the reinforcing layer
3. Internal abnormalities: Internal blistering and peeling/abrasion (Exposure of hose reinforcements)
*If there is an abnormality on the inner or outer surface, flakes from the hose or pieces of the reinforcing material may be mixed in the fluid.
4. If there are other significant changes (Hardening, swelling, cracking, blistering, discoloration of reinforcing layer, etc.)
Cautions/prohibitions
1. Do not store outdoors or in direct sunlight. This may cause quality deterioration such as stickiness and cracks on the hose surface.
Store in a well-ventilated place with low humidity. Do not allow contaminants or dust to enter the hose.
2. When storing, avoid contact with other PVC products and do not store near rubber products.
Cautions/prohibitions
1. When disposing of the product, please follow the separate disposal procedures of each region.
2. The TOYOFUSSO hoses, TOYOFUSSO-E hoses, TOYOFUSSO-S hoses, and TOYOFUSSO SOFT hoses generate harmful gases when burned,
so please do not incinerate them. When disposing of the product, treat it as industrial waste.
