Advantages of use 1
Advantages of use 2
Compliant with laws and regulations to ensure safe and secure.
Improved productivity and safety with dedicated fittings.
1. Use the hose within the operating temperature and pressure ranges. Do not use hot water over 100°C.
2. The hose expands and contracts due to internal pressure, so please allow some leeway when piping.
3. When pressurizing, open and close the valve slowly to avoid impact pressure.
4. Depending on the application and conditions (temperature and movement), it may not be possible to use the hose under negative pressure.
Please refer to the digital catalog as a guideline for the negative pressure range.
5. Depending on the usage conditions, hoses are expected to extract or elute compounding agents, etc., so please check the usage conditions and the effect on the product before use.
6. If the fluid to be used is oil, powder, highly toxic chemicals, high-concentration acid or high-concentration alkali, etc., please be sure to consult the manufacturer before use.
7. Silicone rubber is highly gas permeable and easily absorbs fluids.
If gas is used, the gas may permeate the hose and leak from the surface or surface of the hose.
Also, please be aware that if a fluid with an odor, taste, or color is passed through the hose, the odor, taste, or color may be transferred to the hose.
8. Wash the inside of the hose before use [Hot water (100°C) up to 30 minutes, pressure 0.1 MPa or less]. When steam cleaning the hose, keep the saturated steam pressure of
When steam cleaning the hose, keep the saturated steam pressure of 0.2 MPa (130°C) or less for a short time. The lifespan will be shortened depending on the frequency of use. Also, do not use steam with the TOYOSILICONE-P hose.
Also, if the fluid used stays in the food hose, the odor of the hose may be transferred to the contents and cause discomfort, so please check before use.
9. Silicone rubber hoses should not be used for long periods of time in nonpolar organic solvents (benzene, toluene, hexane, etc.), halogenated hydrocarbons (methylene chloride, trichloroethane, etc.), highly concentrated strong acids, strong alkalis, mineral oil, and steam. (Do not use steam with the TOYOSILICONE-P hose.) Never use silicone rubber hoses for animal or vegetable oils at temperatures of 70°C or higher.
10. Do not use for fuel oil.
11. Use the hose with a minimum bending radius or more. If the hose is used with less than the minimum bending radius, the hose will break or the pressure resistance will decrease.
12. When used with powders, granules, etc., the hose may wear out easily depending on the conditions, so please make the bend radius as large as possible.
13. Do not use the product in an extremely bent state near the fitting.
14. Do not touch or get close to naked flames.
15. Do not run over the hose with vehicles, etc.
16. Do not use the hose when it is crushed.
17. Do not hit the hose with hard, sharp objects such as steel or rub it strongly.
18. If a load such as bending or stress is applied to the hose near the fitting, the inner tube of the hose may be cut at the barbed part of the nipple, causing the hose to burst.
19. Silicone rubber hoses are more easily cut than conventional flexible PVC hoses, so be careful not to damage them.
20. Do not energize. Hose rupture or electric shock may occur.
21. Do not immerse the hose surface or fittings directly in the fluid (food, chemicals, etc.) in the tank.
Fluid may permeate the hose reinforcement layer or remain in the fitting, causing the growth (adherence) of bacteria and deterioration of the hose.
In addition, dust adhering to the outer surface and hose fragments (reinforcing material) may enter.
heat resistance1. In order to maintain pressure resistance and heat resistance, the threads are reinforced with a special knitting method.
(Please note that if you cut it carelessly, the thread may fray and the thread may be missing.)
2. When cutting the hose, use a cutter blade that is as new as possible and cut so that the surface of the hose is perpendicular.
If it is not vertical, leakage or disconnection, etc., may occur.
3. When cutting HYBRID TOYOSILICONE hoses, TOYOSILICONE-S hoses, TOYOSILICONE-S2 hoses, or TOYOSILICONE-P hoses, be careful not to injure yourself on the surface of the reinforcing material. There is a danger of puncturing the hose, so please handle them with care.
1. For TOYOSILICONE hoses, HYBRID TOYOSILICONE hoses, TOYOSILICONE-S hoses, TOYOSILICONE-P hoses, using Toyox's dedicated fitting TOYOCONNECTOR is recommended. If you use a fitting other than the dedicated one or install it in a way that is different from the instruction manual, the performance of the hose may deteriorate.
2. The ends of barbed fittings should be rounded (0.3R or more) as much as possible. In particular, silicone rubber hoses are more easily to cut than conventional flexible PVC hoses, so be careful.
3. Do not apply oil to the hose or the barbed part of hose nipple, and do not heat it with fire. If it is difficult to insert, warm the hose with lukewarm water before inserting the hose nipple.
4. Fully insert the barbed part of the hose nipple into the hose.
5. Do not use one-push fittings for tubes. It may cause the hose to burst.
6. Tighten the hose clamp at the center of the nipple barbed part, and be careful not to cut the outer layer of the hose. For large-diameter hoses of ø19 or more, use 2 pcs. or more multiple-drive transmission.
7. Retighten the hose clamp appropriately. Please note that the hose will soften, especially at high temperatures.
8. Be careful not to injure your hands when using a cross-head/slotted screwdriver.
9. Do not use the hose under the following conditions, as it may cut the inner tube of the hose and cause the hose to burst.
·Instead of using a hose clamp, use a steel wire, etc., to tighten it excessively.
·Apply an impact to the hose with a hammer, etc., when attaching or detaching the hose clamp.
·Use a fitting with a hose nipple with scratches or rust on the surface.
10. The pressure resistance strength described in this catalog is based on the data obtained by performing a pressure test on a single hose using Toyox's original test method.
Therefore, customers should be aware that hose disconnection may occur before hose bursts depending on the conditions (the shape of the hose nipple, the type of hose clamps, the number of hose clamps, tightening torque, crimping shape, etc.) for setting to the metal brackets. When setting fittings on hoses, please select a safe and
effective method. For technical inquiries about setting of fittings, etc., please contact the manufacture's customer service center.
1. Pre-operation inspection: Before using the hose, check for any abnormality on the external appearance (damage, hardening, softening, discoloration, etc.).
2. Regular inspection: Be sure to perform regular inspections once a month while the hose is in use.
If such abnormalities are observed
Hose lifespan is greatly affected by fluid physical properties, temperature, flow velocity, and the frequency of pressurization and depressurization. If any of the following abnormalities or signs are found during the pre-operation inspection or regular inspection, immediately stop using the hose and replace it with a new hose.
1. Abnormalities near fittings: Local stretch, curvature, leakage, blistering, and shallow insertion into the nipple.
2. Presence or absence of damage: Large scratches on the outer surface, cracks, infiltration into the reinforcing layer
3. Internal abnormalities: Internal blistering and peeling/abrasion (Exposure of hose reinforcements)
*If there is an abnormality on the inner or outer surface, flakes from the hose or pieces of the reinforcing material may be mixed in the fluid.
4. If there are other significant changes (Hardening, swelling, cracking, blistering, adsorption of fluid odors, tastes, and colors, discoloration of reinforcing layers, etc.)
1. Do not store outdoors or in direct sunlight. This may cause quality deterioration such as stickiness and cracks on the hose surface.
Store in a well-ventilated place with low humidity. Do not allow contaminants or dust to enter the hose.
2. When storing, avoid contact with other PVC products and do not store near rubber products.
1. Do not incinerate. Burning the product may damage the incinerator or produce gas harmful to the human body. Please handle it as industrial waste.
2. When disposing of the product, please follow the separate disposal procedures of each region.
