Motor Driven Roller Diameter 50 mm

Product Overview
MISUMI's economical electric drum is a new generation of electric drum with an integrated design that incorporates a brushless DC motor, gearbox, and electronic control system.
Feature 1: High efficiency and energy saving. The overall design uses a high-quality brushless motor combined with a premium gearbox, resulting in significantly higher efficiency compared to conventional external motor setups.
Feature 2: Flexible application, covering standard straight-through and Poly-V belt drive types. The motor shaft output has also been optimally designed, with 11 gear reduction ratios available. The roller surface length can be selected in 1 mm increments from 350 to 1700 mm, meeting a wider range of application scenarios.
Feature 3: Low noise. While most competing products in the industry are below 55 dB, the noise level of the electric drum can be reduced to below 50 dB.

Example of Use
Application Areas
Used for box-type conveying machinery, such as cardboard boxes, material bins, pressure plates, or tires. Suitable for linear conveyors and small belt conveyors, especially zero-pressure accumulation conveyors. Can also be used in shuttle systems to coordinate conveyor sections or transfer machines with other conveyors.
At the same time, based on the 50 mm roller motor platform, different roller surface materials (rubber-coated, wrapped) have been developed to meet various belt line application scenarios. With advantages such as easy installation, stepless speed regulation, and high product efficiency, it is widely used in packaging, assembly lines, and automation industries.

Question: The roller gets very hot during operation and feels too hot to touch. Is this normal?
Answer: Not completely normal. Electric rollers have a built-in motor, so some temperature rise during operation is normal (usually between 40℃ and 60℃). However, if it is too hot to touch, it is usually due to overloading or the selected power being too low. In addition, if the drum starts frequently (more than 6 times per minute), the heat cannot dissipate and this can also cause overheating. It is recommended to check whether the load is within the rated range.
Question: Why does the roller make abnormal noises or squeaking sounds when rotating?
Answer: There are two common causes: first, internal gear wear or insufficient lubricant (for oil-immersed types); second, uneven mounting brackets, which cause uneven force on the drum shaft ends and friction in the internal bearings. First, check whether the mounting bolts are tightened and whether there are any obstructions or debris along the roller's operating path.
Question: Why does the roller slip during operation?
Answer: There are two common causes: first, the weight or friction coefficient of the conveyed items exceeds the load capacity; second, surface oil contamination causes slipping. Please select the appropriate roller surface material based on actual working conditions (PU and PVC are available), and clean the roller surface regularly.
