Plastic Sprocket for Modular Belt 800

Part Number

Configured Part Number is shown.

EA-MBMD-800-10T-S40

Product Overview
The 800 sprocket is a drive sprocket specifically designed to match the 800 series modular belt with a 50.8 mm pitch. It is made from high-strength engineering plastic using integrated injection molding, with tooth profiles that perfectly match the belt hinges. It is mainly used at the drive end, tensioning end, and steering mechanism of conveyors. With high strength, stable transmission, and excellent wear resistance, it is widely used in medium to heavy-duty conveying applications such as food, beverage, packaging, and logistics sorting. It is the standard matching drive component for the 800 series modular belt.

Frequently asked question (FAQ)

Question: Are there cracks or broken teeth at the root of the sprocket teeth?
Answer: The 800 series is typically used for heavy-duty conveying. If there are frequent instantaneous starts and stops or sudden increases in load, the tips of the injection-molded teeth will be subjected to significant shearing force, which can cause them to break. Recommendation: Add a soft start function to the motor controller and ensure that the selected sprocket has a sufficient number of teeth (the more teeth, the more evenly the force is distributed).
Question: Does the sprocket experience severe polygonal effects (vibration) during operation?
Answer: The 800 series has a large pitch (50.8 mm). If a sprocket with too few teeth is selected (such as 6 or 8 teeth), the mesh belt will move up and down during engagement. Recommendation: If space allows, give priority to sprockets with more teeth (such as 10 or 12 teeth or more) to improve operational stability.
